Anahy de las Misiones



Dragging a big old wagon, Anahy, this strong local woman, mother of four, all from different fathers, fight to survive in the middle of the "Farroupilha Revolution." Indifferent of political passions, the goal is to survive, peddling with "caramurus" (Defenders of the Empire) and "farrapos" (revolutionaries),looting whatever possible from the dead in battle. Anahy's strength comes her capacity to, at any costs, keep her miserable family together, in a land devastated by war. The tale takes place in 1839, in the hinterlands of Rio Grande do Sul.​
