Il Primo Miracolo

The refined irony of Dario Fo(1997's Nobel Prize in Literature) establishes a comic and sarcastic parable of Jesus' childhood, where themes as power, racial segregation, hunger and exile appear in between the lines of a funny sequence of historical episodes. Roberto Birindelli interprets 22 characters, without any scenography, outfit or lighting resources. In the making of this spectacle, the premise of Dario Fo's text, a dialectical masterpiece, was combined with the dynamic of Candido Portinari's paintings (from the series: "Os Retirantes"), striving to develop an elaborate visual and sound language.

ON DISPLAY for 16 years, this awarded spectacle has been to festivals, events and tours in over 120 cities of 7 different countries: Porto Alegre, Buenos Aires, Montevidéu, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto, Teresina, São Caetano, São José do Rio Preto, Campinas, Canela, Caxias, Estocolmo, Lausanne, Valdívia, Puerto Montt, Manaus, Belém, Natal, Recife, João Pessoa, Brasília, Rio Branco, Campo Grande, Dourados, Vitória, among others.
