Concerto Campestre

 

Major Eleutério Fontes(Antônio Abujamra) is a rich, coarse man which main occupation is the exploration of the "charqueadas"(saladeros), operated by legitimate armies of slaves. 

 

The transcendy of this character happens as, when in a stroll through his lands, he finds two native "guarani" indians playing a sacred song learned by them from Jesuit missionaries. It's then, when this rude man hears this music for the first time, and from that moment on, his life would never be the same.
